The 1st Team secured their first win of pre-season with a 1-0 win over Spartan South Midlands League outfit Hadley.
The first half was a well contested affair with action at both ends, but it was the visitors who opened the scoring on the half hour. Harry Holland collected possession just inside his own half and after driving forward, he delivered a sublime through ball to put Craig Skelton in the clear.
As the Baldock forward rounded the keeper he was forced a little wide, but he kept his composure to open Town's scoring account for the new campaign.
There were a whole host of changes from both sides at the interval and Town took control of the match in the second period.
Rhys Davies and Michael Fortune tested the frame of the goal with a couple of fierce drives and other decent passages of play went unrewarded, but Manager Steve King will be pleased with his side's performance.
The 1st Team continue their pre-season plans with a trip to Allenburys Sports of Herts Senior County League Division One on Tuesday evening (28th July) - kick off 6.30pm.
